Inappropriate Affect

This was inspired by the film "Mozart and the Whale," a wonderful film about people with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. I highly recommend it.

One of the more recognizable symptoms of AS (out of a slew of them) is the difficulty or inability of the person effected to discern facial expressions, or to connect them with their intended meaning, for others, and/or for the person themselves. They might smile when they're angry, or frown when they're happy. This is sometimes called "Inappropriate Affect."

I've had this image floating around in my head for some time now, and I thought it would also be good practice with Corel Painter X. I might actually turn it into a painting someday, but for now, this will do.
